2. Booking and Reservation
All skip hire services must be booked in advance. Reservations can be made via our online portal or by contacting our customer service team. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation email.
2.1 Booking Requirements
- Clients must provide accurate and complete information during the booking process.
- Reservations are subject to availability.
- Clients must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this agreement.
3. Payment Terms
Payment for services is due as per the agreed terms outlined at the time of booking. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards and bank transfers. All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
3.1 Deposit
A deposit may be required to secure the booking. The amount of the deposit will be communicated during the reservation process.
4. Delivery and Collection
Our team will deliver the skip bin to the specified location on the agreed date and time. Collection will occur at the end of the rental period unless an extension is requested.
4.1 Responsibility for Placement
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the skip bin is placed in an appropriate location that does not obstruct traffic, access, or create hazards. Any damage caused by improper placement is the client's responsibility.
5. Usage Guidelines
Clients must adhere to the following guidelines when using our skip bins:
- Only dispose of permitted waste as outlined in our waste disposal policy.
- Do not overload the skip bin beyond its specified capacity.
- Avoid disposing of hazardous materials, including asbestos, chemicals, or medical waste.
- Ensure that waste is properly packaged to prevent spillage or contamination.
5.1 Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being placed in skip bins:
- Household chemicals and flammable liquids.
- Electrical appliances containing hazardous substances.
- Construction debris containing asbestos.
- Radioactive materials.
- Any other items as specified by local regulations.
6. Liability
Mayfair Skip Hire is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, except where such liability is mandated by law.
6.1 Insurance
Clients are advised to have appropriate insurance coverage for their property and belongings. Mayfair Skip Hire carries liability insurance to cover claims arising from our services.
7. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time. Late cancellations may incur a fee equivalent to 50% of the total booking cost.
7.1 Rescheduling
Clients may request to reschedule their skip hire without penalty, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 12 hours before the original booking time.
8. Extensions
Clients may request an extension of the skip hire period. Extensions are subject to availability and may incur additional charges based on the extended duration.
8.1 Late Returns
If the skip bin is not returned by the agreed-upon time, additional fees will apply. Persistent late returns may result in suspension of services.
9. Termination
Mayfair Skip Hire reserves the right to terminate services immediately if the client breaches any of these Terms and Conditions. In such cases, no refunds will be issued.
9.1 Breach of Terms
Examples of breaches include, but are not limited to, unauthorized placement, disposal of prohibited items, and failure to pay for services rendered.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mayfair Skip Hire operates. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
10.1 Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to seek an amicable resolution through negotiation before pursuing legal action.
